Who does not enjoy french fries? Unfortunately, they have wrecked many well-intentioned dieters. However, you can have your french fries and still not sabotage your diet by baking instead of frying. Cut your potatoes into half inch pieces, toss with pepper, salt, and about one tablespoon of canola oil; bake in an oven for about 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Toss with rosemary, if you desire. Use a spatula to turn it and then continue baking for ten more minutes. These fries taste great and have less fat because they aren’t fried. Enjoy them with some ketchup! Examine which foods you find enjoyable. Many times people eat without realizing they don’t really like what they’re eating. Take the time to savor each bite. If you visit a restaurant and find out the food isn’t to your liking, send it to the kitchen to be fixed or order another item. You don’t have to eat something simply because you bought it. Your health is more important than the money anyways. Eat mindfully by making conscious choices in the foods you eat. It is a personal choice.
